Civil Partnership Agreements & Dissolutions

Advice is available upon all aspects of a civil partnership. This includes the relevant implications of entering into civil partnerships, such as pre-nuptial agreements, and advising upon the unfortunate event of separation. We can advise on the options available upon separation, such as dissolution, judicial separation or nullity proceedings, and advise on the division of assets and financial provision for children. We have the expertise of dealing with the complex issues surrounding dissolution, including family companies, trusts, offshore financial structures and pensions.

Grounds of Dissolution

For there to be a dissolution the parties must have entered the civil partnership at least one year before and demonstrate that the partnership has broken down irretrievably by relying upon one of the same facts as for divorce.
