Higgs & Sons' solicitors gain by giving

Leading Midlands law firm Higgs & Sons has once again teamed up with industrial services specialist ERIKS to help youngsters in the Black Country get fit and learn about healthy attitudes to eating and living.
The two companies took part in the Business in the Community's (BITC) Give and Gain day on 20 May 2016.
Melita Bown, a solicitor in Higgs & Sons family team, led the law firm's efforts, which involved a day of fun and sport at Tipton Sports Centre. Youngsters from schools across the Black Country took part in a range of activities run by businesses in the region.
Speaking about the event, Melita commented: "This was the fourth year Higgs & Sons has been involved in Give and Gain and each year it gets bigger and better.
"It was a fantastic experience working with these youngsters, who were all really keen to get involved.
More than 120 children from various schools took part in Give and Gain day where Higgs & Sons and ERIKS organised activities including Dodgeball and an assault course. The activities were chosen because they could be easily modified to include children of all abilities and to accommodate children with additional needs.
Melita concludes: "Give and Gain helps children to start thinking about leading more active lifestyles, eating a balanced diet and sowing the seeds for a healthier future.
"Higgs & Sons has been proud to support the initiative since 2012."
