Higgs support for the rural community racing ahead

Article date:  11/05/2016

Staff from Higgs & Sons solicitors were at the races last weekend in support of the West Midlands Point 2 Point championships.

The Brierley Hill based firm set out their stall and offered hospitality at the Worcestershire Area meeting at Chaddesley Corbett. Higgs' presence at the event was part of the firm's sponsorship of the West Midlands Area Point 2 Point Championships for 2016.

"It was a fantastic day at Chaddesley. We saw some great racing and provided some excellent hospitality to friends, colleagues and clients throughout the day," comments Paul Barker, a Partner at Higgs who sits on the firm's Agricultural and Rural Services group.

The support of the Point 2 Point championships is one of a number of exciting developments for Higgs' Rural Service group. This year also sees the firm sponsor the inaugural Farming Business of the Year at the Shropshire Star Business Awards.

"We are excited to be involved in this important sector by supporting events such as the West Midlands Area Point 2 Point," explains Peter Gosling, who heads the firm's Rural Services team.

"We believe there has never been a greater need for farm and rural land owners to get the best legal advice as the pace of change of rural and agricultural law is ever-increasing and the amount of new regulation is greater and more complex than ever. "

Paul Barker concludes: "It was tremendous being part of the rural community event at Chaddesley, and we look forward to increasing our commitment to this vital and vibrant sector throughout this year and beyond."

Higgs & Sons' Agricultural and Rural Services team offers a unified approach to the challenges and opportunities faced by the agricultural and rural community by combining expertise from all areas of the firm.
