Forty teams take part in Higgs’ charity football tournament

Higgs & Sons welcomed 350 local professionals from businesses across the region to its annual charity football tournament.
This year's event, which took place on 26 June 2014 at Stourbridge Rugby Club, raised over £4,000 for the firm's designated charity for 2014, The Prince's Trust.
The eventual winners were Nicklin LLP who defeated the Higgs team in the final. Mazars finished third with Jonthan Lee Recruitment winning the Plate.
Richard Griffiths, a partner in Higgs' corporate team organised the annual event. He said: "This is the eighth year which we have run the football tournament and its popularity continues to grow year on year.
"With 40 teams taking part this year, we're extremely proud to host what has become the foremost corporate sporting event in the region.
"Everybody appeared to enjoy the day and we managed to raise a considerable amount for a fantastic cause."
Higgs & Sons is headquartered at the Waterfront Business Park in Brierley Hill. The firm employs more than 200 people, which includes over 100 specialist lawyers.
