Higgs to create centre of excellence for personal legal matters
Article date: 23/05/2014
Higgs & Sons is to bring its rapidly growing private client and residential property teams together under one roof for the very first time with the creation of a new centre of excellence at its Waterfront headquarters.
The firm has seen its numbers grow by 20 per cent since it moved in 2010 to prestigious new offices in Brierley Hill's Waterfront Business Park. Now, as part of its long-term business growth strategy, the firm is to move its Kingswinford team to its headquarters, creating a complete service to its private clients; individuals looking for advice and assistance with wills, trusts, mortgages, inheritance tax and a whole raft of other property related issues.
Nick Moxon, Senior Partner and Head of Private Client, said: "The way that people seek out legal support is changing and we need to recognise this. Clients often want advice on a diverse range of matters. They want to park for free, not too far from home, and spend time with their lawyer. Our headquarters in the Waterfront will allow us to create a central hub where they can achieve this all in one visit.
"If in the course of our discussions, individuals need technical advice from one of our other specialist lawyers, that person will be on hand to provide it immediately. This is an exciting development to provide a better specialist service to our clients."
Higgs has proved to be a true Black Country success story in the last decade, with the firm's numbers growing to over 200 people. The firm has attracted many top names from Birmingham and beyond and on the back of its success, the firm has received awards including Birmingham Law Society's law firm of the year and corporate law firm of the year at the Midlands Insider Dealmakers event.
