Ian qualified as a Solicitor in 2003 and specialises in private client work, with an emphasis on trust formation and administration, wills and estate planning and probate and the administration of estates. He has a wide range of experience with high value and complex estates, especially intestacy matters, including the mitigation of inheritance tax.
Ian is a member of the Law Society's Wills and Equity Committee, promoting improvements in the law and procedures relating to wills, probate, trusts and charities. Ian is also a full STEP member and is actively involved with the Bristol Branch of STEP as a committee member. Ian has written various articles and has given several presentations on private client issues to both legal and non-legal audiences.
His role focuses on business expansion and the development of successful working systems and processes placing the client at the heart of matter, building on Higgs & Sons' reputation for consistently delivering the highest quality legal services in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
