David joined the firm, as a consultant, in 2011 with 30 years' experience of Local Authority and Government Regulatory enforcement, including Trading Standards, Environmental Health, Fire, HSE, DEFRA, Food Standards, and OFT. He has been independently recommended for 10 years as a Leader in the Field of Food Law in Chambers & Partners' UK legal guide and graded in Band 1.
David's experience includes investigations, PACE interviews, Emergency Notices/Orders, prosecutions, recoveries of defence costs, advice to businesses, magistrates' courts advocacy, and Administrative Court appeals. His expertise includes Trading Standards, Age-Restricted Product Test Purchases, Product Descriptions, Price Indications, Food Hygiene, Pest Infestation, Food Labelling, Food Safety, Product Safety, Fire Safety and Health & Safety.
David is a member of the Food Law Group, SoFHT and the Trading Standards Institute Business Members Group Executive Committee and Food Law Consultant to the NFMFT.
